Project Overview

Client: English Courtyard Developments
Sector: Residential / Retirement Living
Location: Elton village, near Peterborough

The Project

Set in the quaint and picturesque village of Elton, this Design and Build project involved the design and construction of 17 warden-controlled retirement dwellings eight cottages and nine flats grouped around two communal courtyards.

Every aspect of the development was designed to respond to its village setting. Quality limestone and natural slate were used throughout to respect the long-established local building heritage. The properties feature a mixture of enclosed garages and car ports, as well as communal landscaped gardens covering approximately two acres, designed to maintain the country feel of the location.

Each home was delivered with a fully fitted kitchen, and the overall development was designed to provide a comfortable, safe and beautiful living environment for older residents one that offers all the practical benefits of modern retirement living without compromising on quality or character.

Design & Build

As Design and Build contractor, PGR Construction took responsibility for both the design and delivery of the project. This single-point accountability gave the client confidence and allowed for tighter coordination between design intent and construction quality — resulting in a development that genuinely delivers on its vision.
