The Project

Installation of a new 80m long footway including a new stormwater drainage run with gullies.

Improvements to the Over Road footway were undertaken, on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council, focusing on capital maintenance, drainage and pedestrian links.

PGR Construction’s scope of works included:

  • New concrete bagwork to help retain the footway
  • Full height kerbing
  • Dropped crossing points
  • Drainage run with gullies

Outcome

PGR installed a new 80m footway complete with new stormwater drainage and gullies, on Over Road, Willingham in Cambridgeshire.  These much needed footway improvement works are part of the Cambridgeshire County Council’s Local Highway Improvement (LHI) programme.

This project has greatly improved access to Highgate Farm and offers improved and safer pedestrian links for the residents and businesses.
